The strength of our country is the strength of our people; and the strength of our army is the strength of our spirit.  Magen Shaul takes the best and brightest of our young people and intensifies their commitment to our country, our land and our people, ensuring their ability to serve in our armed forces, and in our society, reflecting the true values of our heritage.  I am proud to count myself as a friend and supporter of Magen Shaul

Natan Sharansky - Israel Minister for Diaspora & Jerusalem Affairs

The added value that you contribute - during your army service as soldiers and as commanders in elite units of the IDF (and I hope that you continue to attain leadership roles in our society in the future) - is thanks to the ideals and vast personal capabilities that each one of you possesses.

I came here to tell you, first of all, congratulations for everything that you are accomplishing here. The pre-army yeshivas have a wonderful reputation - both within Israel’s general security forces, as well as for serving in elite units as both soldiers and commanders.

I believe that the values you incorporate at Magen Shaul will add to your capabilities in the future and to your contribution to the State of Israel as a whole… The preparatory colleges have a very important impact on Israeli society and its security. That is why I want to reiterate today my congratulations to the Magen Shaul Mechina and to thank you and the school’s leaders for everything that you do here.

Shaul Mofaz - Israel Defense Minister

The Magen Shaul mechina is an important and effective program that gives youth the opportunity to develop themselves in a non-threatening environment, at a crucial crossroads in their life. I hold both Directors of Magen Shaul in high regard, and have worked closely with them. Rabbi Itamar Cohen and Executive Director Uri Bank bring together excellent skills in spiritual guidance, education, and administration, forming a highly efficient team. Contributing to this worthy cause will surely benefit the people of Israel.

The Magen Shaul preparatory college in Nokdim is a wellspring for our youth, preparing them for army service while strengthening their Torah learning. The quality of the students, combined with the highly professional staff, attracts many young men to study there and to enjoy an excellent prelude to their army induction. As a resident of Nokdim I can personally attest to the welcome contribution of the Magen Shaul for residents of our community and the whole area.
